KATY SLADE
Katy is adept at researching and understanding the needs of the market to build innovative projects. With a background in urban planning, she is a strong believer that developers have a responsibility to be stewards of the neighborhood and that this involvement yields even greater value creation for the individual development. Her experience has included development of award-winning mixed-use and multi-family projects in Texas, Florida, and the District of Columbia. She has successfully entitled land in Dallas, Irving, and San Diego. Prior to founding Mintwood Real Estate, she served as Area Vice President of Investments for Gables Residential. She currently is a Landmark Commissioner for the City of Dallas, in addition to serving on the boards for Uptown Dallas, Inc. (for which she was Chairman for three years), The Real Estate Council, and Preservation Dallas. Katy’s efforts have been acknowledged in the community – she has been named a Dallas Business Journal 40 Under 40 award recipient and is a graduate of Leadership Dallas. Katy currently resides in Dallas with her husband and two daughters. She graduated cum laude from Harvard University and has a Masters in Urban Planning and Real Estate Development from the University of Pennsylvania.
