Katy Slade

Katy Slade founded Mintwood Real Estate in 2018 after extensive experience in mixed-use development. Katy’s community-advocacy viewpoint and urban planning expertise extend to her projects, as she strongly believes that developers first hold a responsibility to serve neighborhoods. She passionately instills an innovative ‘future proofing’ methodology to her projects to ensure authentic measures are taken across design and programming to secure purpose that fits within the landscape of a community.

Katy has developed award-winning mixed-use and multi-family projects in Texas, Florida, and the District of Columbia, and has successfully entitled land in Dallas, Irving, and San Diego. Prior to founding Mintwood, Katy was Area Vice President of Investments for Gables Residential. Katy has committed her time to improve Dallas as a Landmark Commissioner for the City of Dallas, a board member for Uptown Dallas, Inc., which she chaired for three years, The Real Estate Council, McKinney Avenue Transit Authority, and Preservation Dallas. Katy’s work was recognized by ‘Dallas Business Journal’s’ as a recipient of the ’40 Under 40’ award, and she is a graduate of Leadership Dallas. Katy graduated cum laude from Harvard University, and earned a Masters in City Planning and Real Estate Development from the University of Pennsylvania.
